Pradhan Mantri Free Sewing Machine Scheme 2020 is
provided to economically weaker women in urban and rural areas. Under this
scheme, more than 50 thousand women will be given free sewing machines in every
state.The main objective of the free sewing machine scheme is to empower
economically weaker women, motivate them towards employment. This scheme will
also improve the condition of rural women.

Eligibility for free
sewing machine scheme
Women of 20 to 40 years can apply for the Prime Minister
Free Sewing Machine Scheme. The annual income of a woman's husband for applying
under this scheme should not exceed Rs. 12000. Apart from this, only
economically weaker women will be eligible for this scheme. Widows and disabled
women of the country can also avail this scheme.
