AAPEX has announced expansion plans for its 2020 event with the inclusion of the Repair Shop HQ.
Designed for service professionals, the Repair Shop HQ will be set up on Level 1 of the Sands Expo. It will feature the Tool and Equipment section, the Mobile Heat Transfer/Heating/Air Conditioning section and Mobility Garage. A new Tire and The tire Accessory section has also been announced as part of this new space. Additionally, a four-bay shop will be built on the floor of the show. A new robotics and warehouse equipment and logistics section will be included in the expansion. The AAPEX 2020 event is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 5 in Las Vegas.
With the new Repair Shop HQ, AAPEX expects to capture the attention of a greater number of technicians as a more expansive program for training will be featured. Leveraging the expertise of industry experts, AAPEX 2020 plans to include more information on alternative fuel vehicle technologies and live training on subjects like undercar and underhood.
“The ultimate goal of this expansion is to enable AAPEX and the entire supply chain to be more efficient from start to finish, while proactively addressing changes in the industry by presenting solutions,” said Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association.

“We will deliver solutions to the shop in order for them to be ahead of the curve. We will enable our distribution partners to make inventories more efficient, more viable, and more available to the customer. And we will champion opportunities for parts manufacturers to utilize data more efficiently to enhance their relationship with their customers,” explained Paul McCarthy, President, and COO of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).
